While it is beginning to feel a lot like Christmas, last month when i shot this, it was still sunny AF! Which meant I was able to bust out my suede button-up mini and square neck tank for one last warm-weather outfit! I layered the oversized grandpa-style blazer I got last year over the look in case it got cloudy. Topped it off with my new Lo & Sons crossbody bag to complete the look.Part of finding the right handbag is making sure it suits your lifestyle. Get a big ole purse and you’ll be stoked about being able to take everything but the kitchen sink with you, but also hindered when you’re not able to find anything in the bottomless abyss. So when I first tried this Lo & Sons bag (I got the Claremont Crossbody Bag) I rejoiced at the copious space but also loved how it was economical and easy to organize. So far, fall has been pretty dope. My nephew, just five months old, is a major cutie. Like so cute, that I’m thinking my future baby has quite the high bar of cuteness to live up to. Thanks a lot, sis.
What else? My girlfriends and I started a book club. During our first meeting, we brainstormed which novel to read first. The vibe we were feeling was decidedly fiction, since we’re in need of a little escapism, what with all the election heaviness lately. We landed on The Girls by Emma Cline. Excited to dive into it!
Lately, I’ve been trying to cater my closet toward edgy basics. Not that I would call this look “edgy”, but hopefully it strikes that balance between simplicity, stylishness, and a tiny bit of edge. I’ve been into square necklines of late, and button-down skirts in suedes and leathers are still right up my alley. This bag comes in so many pretty fall colors, but I had to go for grey! I love how it’s an understated, pale grey that lends a subtle dose of luxury to any fall outfit. While this is a great everyday bag, I think it’s best used during travel. It has plenty of room for a DSLR camera (excluding those with ginormous lenses), which is perfect for travel days when you’re hitting a new town and photographing the city. Or just any old day when you’re a blogger!
