Although Paragary’s Midtown
opened last summer, it still feels new to me in the best way possible. I still can’t get enough of the tile floors and patio and, thanks to an ultra-seasonal menu, there’s always a bright new cocktail or flavorful dish to try each time you go in.
I went a couple weeks ago with my girls, Haley
(behind the camera), for a mid-week girls’ dinner. I love dressing up for a girls’ dinner. Hate to say it, but sometimes I end up looking cuter on a girls’ night than a date night! Sorry, boo.
What I love about eating at Paragary’s is that, although it’s not an overtly health-minded restaurant, I always feel so good eating the food. The flavors are bright, never heavy, and there’s something healthy and fresh-feeling about each of their dishes. Plus, what’s not to love about the airy vibes and luxe decor?
When Haley, Susan and I went a couple weeks ago, we shared two salads and two entrees, all of which were just light enough to go ham on two rounds of cocktails! Let’s be real, cocktails are usually the focus on a proper girls’ night! Our full order is detailed below in case you need some recommendations.
I love how this spot feels laid-back yet special. I had my birthday dinner here last year after all.
A gorgeous bar with tiki accents here and there.
That bread tastes as good as it looks!
You know we had to stop to Instagram a few of these sexy bar details.
Cheers to a random Wednesday night!
Haley’s buttery backpack goes so great with the decor.
I always appreciate flourishes of artistic accents like this menu art designed by Emilee Rudd
It’s heirloom tomato season and I am so
On the table:
Smoked Trout Salad: Avocado, gold beets, crème fraiche, horseradish, pickled red onions
Heirloom Tomatoes: Burrata, pluot, maldon, olive oil
New Zealand King Salmon: Japanese eggplant, romano beans, tomato vinaigrette, black olive aioli
Ricotta Ravioli with Lemon & Mint: Summer squash, squash blossoms, cherry tomato
Cuffs & Buttons (bourbon cocktail)
Watermelon Margarita (my favorite)
Let’s talk GNO looks! I like the idea of bringing a little bit of sass to a girls’ night out, hence the strappy heels, crop top, and high-slit wrap skirt. But I also wanted it to have a summery feel, so I added straw details with the hat and clutch. Plus, the skirt, although black, is linen, and therefore summery as well!
Skirt: Reformation // top: Samantha Pleet // heels: Nasty Gal // hat: Lack of Color // sunglasses: Ray Ban // choker: Asos // lipstick: Mac “Lady Danger”
Haley’s little white dress look is so doing it for me. Love the neutral accents. Check out her post here
