A few weeks ago, Blake and I were invited to our friend Julie’s farm in Jackson in Amador County. It was jaw-droppingly beautiful at sunset, the perfect way to kick off spring! We mashed around the property on a golf cart before we hopped off and explored by foot, checked out her parents’ sheep and silky chickens, and marveled at the 360 degree view from the hilltop before we went inside for a potluck feast. They make their own wine, press their own olive oil…live off their land in so many ways. Living the dream, right? It was so nice to take a breather from city life and just soak in the countryside. I don’t take too many trips to the mountains or coast, so it was a treat!
