It’s now August, and I’m still not over the summer pandemonium that was Summerland. Hosted and organized by Park Winters, Summerland was every Sactown-area/Bay Area blogger’s dream, and not only for the Insta-worthy vignettes at every turn. It was about connecting with our fellow creatives and getting to know the soul behind a truly special place. A stylish oasis amid the farmlands of Yolo County, Park Winters is an event space that hosts weddings, farm dinners, and more.
Just 40 minutes west of Sacramento, with plenty of beautiful sunflower fields to ogle (or maybe even stop at) on the way, the estate includes a pool, a dining hall, luxurious lavender gardens, and more. Each of these spaces was decked out with fun decor for us influencers to gobble up — photography vignettes, an ice cream truck, chocolate tasting, even a full-on pool party. The latter was absolutely the best part. Far from just perching on lounge chairs, it was good to see folks let loose, get wet, and cool off from the valley heat. All with trendy pool floaties, of course.
The Park Winters team showed just how in touch they are with all the boutique businesses that make the Sacramento region special by including a full roster of local makers and businesses. Imbibe we did thanks to the day’s generous beverage offerings, which included local vendors like Liquidology, Temple Coffee, and Bailarin Winery. The day culminated with a formal dinner in the dining hall, which was divine. Di-vine, I tell you! And I had the good fortune of sitting next to one of the owners of the park, John, which was such a treat! He regaled us with stories of how they first started, and what makes owning and managing the venue so great.
I can’t think of a better way to have kicked off the summer. Every time I look through these photos, it makes me so happy! I hope they do the same for you! And if you’re thinking about hosting an event, or planning a wedding, feast your eyes on the beauty of this place!
